World Cheetah Day

On December 4th, Anubhav Montessori celebrated World Cheetah Day.

Igniting children’s curiosity and fostering a love for wildlife. The day featured an engaging movie about cheetahs, providing insights into these magnificent creatures. Through interactive discussions, children explored unique traits of cheetahs, such as their distinctive tear marks—black lines running from the inner corners of their eyes down to their mouths. These markings help reduce glare from the sun during daytime hunts, enhancing the cheetah’s focus on prey.

The children also learned about the cheetah’s slender yet powerful build, adapted for incredible speed, and their preference for grasslands and open plains. Discussions highlighted differences between cheetahs and other big cats like jaguars and leopards, emphasizing variations in physical characteristics, habitats, and behaviors.

This celebration not only deepened the children’s understanding of cheetahs but also instilled a broader appreciation for wildlife conservation.
